Renaissance

Amazing to think of the brilliance represented in Firenze during the 15th century Renaissance and largely underwritten by Lorenzo "the magnificent" de Medici whose father formed the Medici bank. (See, some bankers use their "ill-gotten gains" for good!) Lorenzo sponsored Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Botacelli among others.
